Terms of Service
Last updated: 06/02/2025
These Terms explain how Stamp Saver Inv Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides its services and what you can expect when working with us. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
Stamp Saver Inv Ltd provides services to help clients review, prepare, and submit claims for refunds of incorrectly paid or surplus Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT), and to manage related correspondence with HMRC.
When you instruct us, we may:
Review your SDLT position
Assess whether a refund claim may be available
Prepare and submit a claim where appropriate
Communicate with HMRC in relation to the claim
Request information from you and, where authorised, from your solicitor
Our services are limited to these purposes only.
To allow us to carry out our work effectively, you agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information
Respond to reasonable requests for information promptly
Authorise us to contact your solicitor where required
Provide any necessary details requested by HMRC, including bank details for refunds
All information you provide to us is treated confidentially and handled in accordance with UK data protection law. Further details can be found in our Privacy Policy.
We are required by law to carry out standard Anti-Money Laundering and identity checks before progressing a claim. If these checks are not completed, we may be unable to act on your behalf.
Our services are generally offered on a success-based basis, meaning fees are typically payable only where a refund is successfully obtained.
While we prepare and submit claims with reasonable care and skill, all final decisions are made by HMRC. We cannot guarantee the outcome of any claim.
HMRC may review claims after issuing a refund. Where applicable, the handling of such reviews will be addressed in your engagement agreement.
Any refunds approved by HMRC are paid directly to you. We do not receive or hold client refund funds.
You agree that instructions, documents, and agreements may be provided and signed electronically.
You agree to use our website lawfully and not in a way that could harm, disrupt, or misuse our services or reputation.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
